Created in 1993, the Ozone Squares is a large and growing club. We dance nearly every week and have many other socials and events to keep you busy year round!
29th Anniversary of Ozone Squares
Friday May 6 & Saturday May 7
This past weekend Ozone's celebrated its 29th anniversary. We would like to thank ALL those dancers that came to support Ozone Squares at our Anniversary Dance.
The members provided a variety of food and deserts to supply the dancers with enough fuel to dance more than 2.5 hours each night.
We started off on Friday night with Nick and Lynette Hartley.
Nick had a little something for all dancers, some SSD, Plus even some "A". Nick with his "High Energy" style of calling, great voice keep everyone moving all night long.
Saturday night caller, Charlie Robertson. Charlie came down from Oklahoma with his wife, Kristi. Charlie had a great selection of newly recorded music even an acapella song he recorded. His voice and choreography of square dance calls kept everyone moving all night long.
With their combination of over 80 years of calling, both started at a young age, they controlled the flow of our dancers artfully, joyfully with steady flow. It's no wonder that clubs across the country travel to go dance to these 2 well-known callers from SSD to C2 levels.
Both nights the callers and dancers had so much fun that the party went a little longer than scheduled.
Social Square Dancing
We would like to welcome all our new members whom just graduated from their SSD class. Many Thanks to Bubba Mingus for doing a great job. Also thanks to Ted Kennedy for helping. All SSD dancers will have the opportunity to finish all of Mainstream over the next several weeks.
Our next class will start this July. Stand-by for further details
